Parch Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Parch does not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your personal data or documents. There are no accounts to create, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting services operated by us, and no servers of ours involved.

How scanning works

Every scan is captured and processed entirely on your device. The page is detected, straightened and enhanced locally, and the resulting document never leaves your iPhone unless you choose to export or share it yourself.

Text recognition (OCR)

When Parch makes a scan searchable, the text recognition runs on your device. The words in your documents are never uploaded, and the recognised text is stored only locally so you can search your own library.

Your document library

The documents you scan are stored locally on your device and encrypted at rest. They are not uploaded anywhere and are removed when you delete them in the app or remove the app.

Exporting and saving to the cloud

When you export or save a document, your iPhone hands the finished file to the destination you choose — Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, or anywhere else you select. Parch does not operate those services, never holds your credentials or sign-in tokens, and never sees where your file goes. The handoff is performed by iOS, not by us.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Parch Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details — Apple handles all billing, and we never see your payment information.

Children

Parch does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
