KeyUp Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026  ·  App: KeyUp Radio  ·  Developer: BaldGuy LLC

KeyUp ("the app") is a controller for amateur-radio AllStarLink nodes. We built KeyUp to be private by design. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: KeyUp does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. There is no KeyUp account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. BaldGuy LLC operates no servers that receive your data. The app talks directly to the AllStarLink nodes on your own local network.

Information the app handles, and where it stays

The one internet request the app makes

To show information about the nodes you are connected to (call sign, location, and a count of connected nodes), the app may send a node number to AllStarLink's public node-information service (stats.allstarlink.org) and display the public result. This request contains only a public node number — never your identity, credentials, or location. This is the same public data shown on AllStarLink's own dashboards. If you have no internet connection, node control still works; only this optional information is unavailable.

What we do not do

Children's privacy

KeyUp does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
